What can you use the app for?

Drawpr gives users a quick way to share files by “dropping” them onto the application. A simple bucket image provides users with a space to drag and drop their files directly onto the site. Recent files appear in a list below the bucket so the user can access them while sharing multiple files. The files are grouped into a bucket. The user can add a name and description to their bucket. Drawpr gives the user a file link for their bucket and records the last time the bucket was accessed. Drawpr files can be shared using Facebook, Twitter or an email address. The user can review a bucket by clicking on the link to see the individual files it contains. Each file is listed with the time it was added and size.

What is the history and popularity of the app?

Drawpr has impressed quite a few users on the web. The application was founded in July of 2011 and promises to offer users a simple and convenient way to share files online. Casual users can really appreciate the 60 day period given to non-registered users. After 60 days, the file may be deleted by Drawpr. Compared to some file sharing applications, that’s quite a few days to utilize the service for anyone who is not an official member.

What are the differences to other apps?

Drawpr is similar to many streamlined file sharing applications. The drag and drop concept is very popular, and for a good reason. It is far more convenient to simply drag and drop a file onto a web page than it is to search for it (which may require exploration of multiple folders on the user’s computer). The quick and painless system created by Drawpr make it even more appealing to casual or novice level users.

How does the web app look and feel to use?

The interface is a big part of what makes Drawpr so appealing. The application is extremely easy to use. The user merely drags and drops the files they want to share onto the simple bucket icon presented on the Drawpr homepage. Each feature is self explanatory. The user can click their bucket to see the files it contains. A few basic details are provided along with a simple “Share” button. Few file sharing applications can claim to be as user friendly as Drawpr.

How does the registration process work?

A new visitor may be pleased to discover that they do not have to actually sign up for a Drawpr account to begin using the service. The site offers a sign up option that takes a matter of seconds. To get started, a new visitor can click the black “Sign Up” tab in the upper, left hand corner of the Drawpr homepage. The registration form asks for a username, email address and password. After submitting the form, the user is automatically logged in and can begin enjoying registered user benefits.

What does it cost to use the application?

Drawpr continues to make itself more appealing to casual users by offering free service to everyone. Anyone can stop by the site and create an account or use the application without an account for nothing. There are no fees and no premium paid membership options available at this time. Unregistered user’s files are kept for up to 60 days. Registered users can store their files indefinitely. Registered users also receive 2.5 GBs of space. Files of 50 MBs or less each can be uploaded and shared on Drawpr.

Who would you recommend the application to?

Drawpr is a great file sharing service for anyone who requires casual file sharing. The application costs nothing and makes it extremely easy to upload and share files to anyone on the web. A few conveniences are included, such as private and public folders, social network file sharing and service for non-registered users. Although Drawpr may not be able to keep up in a business environment, it is an excellent way for friends and family to pass files back and forth.
